It is their final resting place. And I always say that it was my maternal grandfather who used to take me, when I was just three years old, to visit the graves of my great-grandparents; that is how I came to know them, and I would even talk to them. At that age, I thought they were there, albeit separated from their souls. Over time, one learns, and I know that there is nothing left there; the body fades away and the soul departs the very moment the person dies. Death is merely a transformation; the soul never dies, it simply goes to another place. >The fact is, I’ve always wandered through cemeteries. Before, in my hometown, I used to go on important dates with my grandmother and mother; when my grandfather passed away and that grave was the last one to visit, I liked to have a long chat with him. I would sit down and ask him to look after my grandmother and my mother. And although he wasn’t there, I know he was listening to me because he loved me so much and because he had left without being able to enjoy life to the full. I remember I always cried at his grave, because he was gone and he was a good man. I used to believe that good people never died. ---   --- But I enjoyed going there; as I had no close blood relatives, no uncles or cousins, almost all my family were elderly, and many had passed away. My walk through the cemetery in the city of Bahía Blanca was like going to visit those people I had never even met in person, but I would talk to them, without suspecting that later in life I would see spirits or, as in the case of my grandfather and grandmother, that they would visit me and I would see them whilst awake. I wandered the paths of that cemetery just as I wandered the historic cemetery of this city, Málaga, only four days ago, because in a way they are similar. I have many stories about cemeteries, dreams and vivid sensations.
