Let's Mix Another One
Today I'm going to mix you an art cocktail for real. It's time to go through my folders and see what has not been posted yet and pick a few interesting ones, the more diversified, the better.

Wile I was looking at these folders, I was thinking what would I do if given a chance to organize an art exhibition. How would I do it, if I'd set a topic, or some kind of limitations to be respected. I guess you don't know until you're put in that situation, but most likely what I'd do is a recycled art exhibition, as that's the closest to my heart. It would be an open air exhibition, in a public space, which makes it harder as you need a permit for that, but it's doable I think. But till then, let's get back to the topic of the post.

*Vince Bocskay - László Oltyán*
These sculpted metal plaques are more common as commemorative plaques, rarely at exhibitions, but it happens. László Oltyán is a Transylvanian writer, my dad had a few books written by him, but I've never read any. The surprise for me was seeing his portraits. I've never seen him live or in a photo, so there's nothing to compare the sculpture with, but it's a nice one.

A painting from Radu Florea, a talented artist who had an exhibition this year and the topic was Maritime. All the works were connected to water one way or the other. I've never seen so many paintings of water and the exhibition demonstrated that there are endless ways to feature water.

*Zoe Vida Porumb - The Web Of Life*
I think I have to help you with this one. You need a close-up photo to see what it is.

There are two paths to think of, when you look at these works here. One is the artist's path, who first comes up with the idea, then thinks of execution and unlike in other arts, where the raw material like paint, canvas, clay, glass or metal is already at hand and you can start creating, when it comes to textile and fiber art, you need to get the required materials from somewhere as there's no way you have them all. Then you start working.
The other path is the visitors' path, who come in, look at the work, look at how it was made, then try to figure out what it means. The funny thing is, that even though, the two paths should be the same, just walked from the opposite direction, but in reality, it's never the same as we think differently.
Look at this brilliant execution. Can you imagine how much work goes into it?

*Enikő Kálmán - Resurrection*
At first glance, it reminds me of Egyptian mummies and pharaohs, wrapped in canvas. This was made of God knows how many layers of paper. I've seen it at another exhibition and I think it was the textile and fiber exhibition.

I love the idea and the layers are amazing.

*Mariana Serban - Venice Carnival*
Ok, let's see. I would have never thought of carnival, looking at this canvas, but it ma
