Rovinj in May: Adriatic colors, slow evenings and the taste of Istria

Hello dear travelers, today I am taking you to the sea, come with me! 😊 At the beginning of May, I visited Rovinj once again for the Days of communication festival (DK2026). Just like last year, arriving in Rovinj instantly brought back that familiar feeling, the mix of calmness, beauty, and Mediterranean energy that makes this town so special.  I will write more about the festival itself in my next post, but this time I wanted to share the experience of simply being there.    Even in May, before the peak tourist season begins, Rovinj feels alive.      The streets of the old town are full of movement, local conversations, small art shops, and the smell of the sea mixed with flowers growing from colorful windows and stone facades.      One of my favorite moments was the taxi boat ride towards the old town. The shades of the Adriatic were beautiful.
