 ##### Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-) There are places we know almost like the back of our hand, but that still manage to surprise us. Porto City Park is like that for me. It's so close to home that sometimes I take it for granted, as if it were just a place to pass through. It's not the first time I've walked through it. I've been there alone, just with my daughter, with my husband, I've crossed those paths on scorching sunny days and damp winter afternoons. It was here that I took some of the most beautiful photos when I was pregnant. This time it was the three of us. Me, my husband, and our daughter, who brought a friend by the hand, in a combination of enthusiasm and whispered secrets that only children master. It's incredible how they can speak so softly when they want to. ##### PT Há lugares que já conhecemos quase de olhos fechados, mas que ainda assim nos conseguem surpreender. O Parque da Cidade do Porto é assim para mim. Fica tão perto de casa que às vezes o tomo por garantido, como se fosse apenas um sitio de passagem. Não é a primeira vez que o percorro. Já lá fui sozinha, fui apenas com a minha filha, já fui com o meu marido, já atravessei aqueles caminhos em dias de sol escaldante e em tardes húmidas de inverno. Foi aqui que fiz das fotos mais bonitas quando estava grávida. Desta vez fomos os três. Eu, o meu marido e a nossa filha, que trouxe uma amiga pela mão, numa combinação de entusiasmo e segredos sussurrados que só as crianças dominam. A legacy of the recent storms that swept through Portugal and left very visible marks there. ##### PT A entrada do parque tem sempre qualquer coisa de promissor. Um alargar do horizonte. A cidade fica para trás assim como os seus ruídos, e de repente abre-se aquele mar de verde que parece respirar com mais calma do que nós. O ar tinha aquele cheiro fresco de relva cortada misturado com terra ainda húmida. Herança das tempestades recentes que varreram Portugal e deixaram marcas bem visíveis por ali. ---   Right at the entrance, I noticed the trees.
