Parque de Santo António - Vila Nova Foz Côa / Riding Portugal

 ##### Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-) After a generous lunch in the center of Foz Côa, we needed a quiet place to slow down and let the food settle before continuing to explore the city. That's how we ended up in Santo António Park, a pleasant green space that turned out to be exactly what we were looking for at that moment, and which happened to be right around the corner in a very central and well-positioned location. ##### PT Depois de um almoço generoso no centro de Foz Côa, precisávamos de um lugar calmo para abrandar o ritmo e deixar a comida assentar, antes de continuar a explorar a cidade. Foi assim que acabámos por entrar no Parque de Santo António, um espaço verde agradável que acabou por ser exatamente aquilo que procurávamos naquele momento, e que por acaso ficava mesmo ali ao virar da esquina num local muito central e bem posicionado. ---       The park extends over a large and well-maintained area, with several pedestrian paths crossing lawns, wooded areas, and spaces dedicated to leisure. Despite being located relatively close to the urban center, the atmosphere inside was very peaceful, with movement but without crowds. Some families were enjoying the afternoon outdoors, while other people occupied the benches scattered throughout the park, simply resting or chatting. ##### PT O parque estende-se por uma área ampla e bem cuidada, com vários percursos pedonais a atravessar relvados, zonas arborizadas e espaços dedicados ao lazer. Apesar de se localizar relativamente perto do centro urbano, o ambiente ali dentro era bastante tranquilo, com movimento, mas sem confusão. Algumas famílias aproveitavam a tarde ao ar livre, enquanto outras pessoas ocupavam os bancos espalhados pelo parque, simplesmente a descansar ou a conversar. ---      The first thing we did was look for shade. It was a hot day, and after our meal, the idea of ​​sitting for a while seemed much more appealing than immediately continuing our walk through the city streets.
