 ##### Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-) There are places that never tire us because, in truth, they never ceased to be ours. Quintandona is one of those places. It's not the first time I've visited. I've been there in other seasons and with a different state of mind. But this time something was different right from the trip. ##### PT Há lugares que não nos cansam porque, na verdade, nunca deixaram de ser nossos. A Quintandona é um desses lugares. Não é a primeira vez que a visito. Já lá fui noutras estações e com outro estado de espírito. Mas desta vez houve qualquer coisa diferente logo na viagem. ---       We took an alternative route. A road I had never experienced before and which, to my surprise, shortened the world. Suddenly, what I had always considered a relatively short trip became almost a leap. I had the strange feeling that Quintandona had decided to get closer to me. Or perhaps I finally realized that some distances are more mental than geographical. Like when we are little and a forty-minute trip seems almost like a trip from Porto to the Algarve. ##### PT Fomos por um caminho alternativo. Uma estrada que nunca tinha experimentado e que, para minha surpresa, encurtou o mundo. De repente, aquilo que sempre considerei um passeio relativamente perto, tornou-se quase um salto. Fiquei com a estranha sensação de que Quintandona tinha decidido aproximar-se de mim. Ou talvez eu tenha finalmente percebido que algumas distâncias são mais mentais do que geográficas. Como quando somos pequenos e uma viagem que dura quarenta minutos parace quase uma viagem do Porto ao Algarve. ---       The arrival is discreet. There is a small headquarters set up to receive visitors, simple, tidy, with that air of someone who wants to welcome and warm the soul. Inside, they sell small souvenirs, jams, handicrafts, typical regional items. Things that don't seem mass-produced, but made with time. And it shows. ##### PT A chegada é discreta.
