Tales of the Urban Explorer: Parsons Glass & Glazing

If I was to be completely honest, we were a tad little visiting ‘*Parsons Glass & Glazing*’. Razor the Goth had beaten us by around a week, and the view had changed substantially. It was more like somebody had kicked the door down, or maybe the entire front yard area.  The company folded due to COVID and must have seen a spell of abandonment before the builders moved in. If only we had discovered it earlier. Checking google maps, there still appears to be a large hole where the original ‘*Parsons Glass & Glazing*’ used to be, with some property renovation going on. What you see here is gone forever, that's probably just as well.  @lpff and I snuck into the yard quietly, perhaps there was still something left, and perhaps the burly builder blokes would not be around? One advantage of weekend exploring is that said builders generally don’t work on Saturdays and hopefully are all in the pub getting pissed. Yeah, that analogy is severely dated, but that’s what used to happen in England decades ago.  It looked bleak and demolished, but a small office remained intact. If this is supposed to impress would-be punters by it's fine decor, then I understand wholeheartedly why the business folded.  The spider-web-covered arch files had not been opened recently. If ‘*Parsons Glass & Glazing*’ do still exist in some form, they don’t appear to give a fuck about their past or anyone snooping through archived invoices.  This liability insurance expired almost 20 years ago; it doesn’t give me much confidence. It’s possible they only employed family members and had sacked everyone else two decades ago.  Someone’s happy with their work and sent a decent-sized cheque. Can anyone remember what they are? In America, it’s spelt ‘check’.  Another friendly letter and cheque paid for a break in? It is Liverpool, so you need to expect at least one attempt per week. I figure this city could be quite profitable for a glass company.  Even the local cops send ‘*Parsons Glass & Glazing*’ some business. A defective mirror in the ladies’ toilets. A cat fight, it must be. Methinks they decided to remove the roof before taking the walls apart. Is that normal demolition practice?  ‘Parsons Glass’, I presume? While it could look good if placed at this business in that plush office I just showed you, I can’t see the design having much demand elsewhere.
