The series follows Anna, a former TV presenter, who investigates a murder in the town where she grew up. Her involvement brings her into conflict with her ex-husband, Detective Jack Harper, who becomes suspicious of her role in the case and soon turns into a suspect himself, uncovering a mystery full of lies and dark secrets. Is it worth watching?

* Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal are both solid in the leading roles, with Thompson standing out slightly more.
* The mystery unfolds gradually with a good pace that keeps you hooked.
* Being only 6 episodes long helps avoid unnecessary stretching.
* I really liked the twist in the final episode, it leaves you thinking “what the hell just happened” 😅
* Well-crafted production overall.
* Nicely written script with a few minor flaws.
* It constantly creates doubt and suspicion, which is exactly what you want from a mystery series.
* Dark atmosphere throughout.

* Story-wise, it leans on quite a few clichés and some obvious conveniences, though not in a way that becomes annoying.
* Some performances are a bit meh.
* A few characters could have been developed better.
* Certain events feel a little rushed or only touched on superficially, probably to save time.
* Overall, it is not particularly memorable or unique, but it is still an enjoyable watch.
## It: Welcome to Derry
It: Welcome to Derry is an ambitious television adaptation of Stephen King following Castle Rock, and it attempts to serve as a prequel to the two films. The story is set in 1962 and focuses on the origins of the Evil through the disappearance of a child, Matty Clements, which becomes the center of an unofficial investigation led by a small group of friends. Is it worth watching?

* For me, the first episode and the last two episodes were incredible.
* The child casting is really well done and makes you connect with the characters. They manage to convey both fear and their personal conflicts very effectively.
* Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise is excellent, just like in the films.
* I liked that midway through the season we learned more about Pennywise’s origin story.
* It has plenty of creepy moments.
* There is a LOT of blood.
* Great 1960s atmosphere.
* Very high production quality, especially for television.
* Some effects are genuinely WOW.
* Nice Easter eggs throughout.
* I liked how it portrays a society that is slowly falling apart internally. The script clearly carries social commentary.
🔴🔴🔴🔴
* The whole military subplot did not really contribute much to the story 🤷♂️
* The middle of the season drags a bit with too much talking.
* It loses its pacing at certain points, although thankfully it recovers 😅
* Some scenes feel overly exaggerated, even if the show’s themes can support that tone.
* A few visual effects look a little clumsy.
