Visitando la Plaza Rivero: Mañana fresca en la Primogénita del Continente [Esp-Eng]

Hoy les comparto mi recorrido por la Plaza Badaraco Bermúdez, ubicada en el sector de San Francisco, cerca del convento del mismo nombre y la calle Urica. Esta plaza se conocía antiguamente como Plaza Rivero, pero su nombre cambió posteriormente a Plaza Badaraco Bermúdez, en honor a la residencia de la familia Badaraco, que se encontraba frente a donde actualmente se ubica la plaza. La familia Badaraco tuvo una gran influencia en la ciudad, ya que fue el lugar de nacimiento del destacado cronista Badaraco Bermúdez, cuya distinguida trayectoria se conmemora con varios murales cerca de la Iglesia de Santa Inés. Esta plaza se distingue por la abundancia de árboles, estratégicamente ubicados en las esquinas. En el centro, un sendero conduce al pedestal donde se erigía la estatua del héroe nacional. Una fotografía muestra las esquinas redondeadas y la gran cantidad de árboles. Los senderos son de granito, y a ambos lados hay caminos circulares decorados con piedras y una franja azul. También se puede apreciar parte del camino que lleva al convento. Cerca de los grandes árboles hay bancos que proporcionan sombra y un ambiente agradable. Por las mañanas, la plaza es frecuentada por los vecinos, que vienen a charlar y disfrutar de la brisa matutina. </div> <div class=text-justify> <div class="pull-right"> **<center>ENGLISH</center>** Abundant and eternal blessings to all members of this @worldmappin community. Today I'm sharing my tour of Badaraco Bermúdez Plaza, located in the San Francisco sector near the convent of the same name and Urica Street. This plaza was formerly known as Rivero Plaza, but its name was later changed to Badaraco Bermúdez Plaza, taking its name from the Badaraco family residence that lived across the street from where the plaza is currently located. The Badaraco family was very influential in the city, as it was the birthplace of the city's prominent chronicler, Badaraco Bermúdez, whose distinguished career is commemorated by several murals near the Santa Inés Church. This plaza is notable for its abundance of trees, strategically placed at the corners. In the center, a walkway leads to the pedestal where the statue of the national hero once stood. A photograph shows the rounded corners and the numerous trees. The walkways are made of granite, and on either side are circular paths decorated with rocks and a blue stripe. Part of the road leading to the convent is also visible. Benches are located near the large trees, providing shade and a refreshing atmosphere.
